"One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way."

I am a language geek and I am proud of it!

My childhood passion for books, word puns and riddles led me to a degree in English Literature and Linguistics. I later qualified as an English teacher (CELTA). I have been teaching for almost 9 years now.

I love all aspects of teaching English, from intense grammar sessions to phonics with KS1 students, all the way to magical storytelling.

But what I love most about teaching one-to-one is the tailored approach I can offer my students. Whilst  lessons in a classroom can be fun and engaging, they also don't leave much space for YOU. Fear of speaking in front of the whole class, too fast or slow-paced environment, curriculum that isn't challenging enough...These are the concerns I hear a lot. With one-to-one learning you can avoid all of that and learn in a way that is suitable for you!

I am also a professional storyteller so you can see me performing online and offline. Find out more in the Storytelling section.

the magic of storytelling

"Someone needs to tell those tales. When the battles are fought and won and lost, when the pirates find their treasures and the dragons eat their foes for breakfast with a nice cup of Lapsang souchong, someone needs to tell their bits of overlapping narrative. There's magic in that. It's in the listener, and for each and every ear it will be different, and it will affect them in ways they can never predict."

Dominika is an amazing tutor. Her lesson is well organised and full of fun! My 6 years old son is learning English as a second language and thanks to her hard work he stays focused during the lesson. She is friendly and has such a positive attitude and always encourages my son.

Dominika was fantastic and offered some really great tips to help with my wife's IELTS prep. She needed a minimum of 8/9 in every category, which was a tall order. My wife definitely wouldn't have scored so high if it wasn't for Dominika.

Thanks to Dominika's help I managed to get 8.0 in my IELTS, which was my goal score. I specifically asked her to focus only on my writing and she gave me a lot of extremely valuable feedback that helped me get 7.5 in the writing section of the exam. Without her help I'm sure I could have never gotten the same result. Communication with her was super easy and I definitely recommend her. I know I will contact Dominika in the future in case I will need help again

I just need to sit a weird English exam which is equivalent to GCSE. I had no idea about the poetry part, but I found Dominika luckily. She is a nice tutor. I will recommend her for those who want to take GCSE.

Dominiika taught my 5 year old son . My son describes her as fantastic. She is patient , caring and has a great unique teaching style . My son could be quite challenging at times but this never faced her. She challenged my son to do the best and encouraged him . She has been an absolute godsend! Thank you.
